Hello! I’m Ola, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work and Clinical Psychology. I currently work at a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program (CPEP) and provide supervision as a Clinical Supervisor at Dunamis Psychotherapy.
Beginning therapy can feel scary, intimidating, and overwhelming, but it can also lead to meaningful change in your life. Many of us experience times when we feel stuck, lost, confused, angry, or hurt—when relationships seem to unravel, life feels aimless, or we struggle to identify the source of our unhappiness. For some, this journey is new; for others, it may be a lifelong challenge.
Therapy offers a safe space to process thoughts and feelings, explore the past and its impact on the present, and embrace the possibility of change. It can help you cope with challenges and gain insights that foster personal growth.
I utilize a range of evidence-based modalities, including Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness. These approaches are designed to support individuals facing anxiety, depression, weight management issues, hoarding behaviors, and unresolved trauma.
My practice is always trauma-informed, with sessions tailored to your unique needs and paced according to your progress. Whatever concerns you bring, we’ll work together to help you feel better. Life can be tough, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.
-
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT): I use this evidence-based approach to help individuals process and reframe traumatic experiences, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression.
Attachment-Based Therapy: In my practice, I focus on understanding and healing relational patterns that stem from early attachment experiences, fostering healthier connections in the present.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): I utilize this therapeutic model to help clients understand and integrate different parts of themselves, promoting self-compassion and healing from inner conflicts.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): I encourage individuals to accept their thoughts and feelings rather than fighting them, while committing to actions aligned with their values for a more fulfilling life.
Mindfulness: I teach mindfulness practices to promote present-moment awareness, helping individuals manage stress and enhance emotional regulation through techniques like meditation and breathwork.
